TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE GAHANNA PARKS & RECREATION FOUNDATION, INC. AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $16,236.
Body
WHEREAS, the Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation is committed to improving the quality of Gahanna Parks & Recreation services for a healthier community; and
WHEREAS, the Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization with a volunteer board of eleven trustees; and
WHEREAS, this Agreement establishes a Senior Fund with the Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation to exclusively support programs and improvements associated with Gahanna Parks & Recreation Department’s Senior Center operations; and
WHEREAS, in 2005, the Estate of Alice Brooks generously donated funds to the City of Gahanna Parks & Recreation Department to support programs and improvements associated with Gahanna Parks & Recreation Department’s Senior Center operations; and
WHEREAS, the remainder of the funds donated by the Estate of Alice Brooks needs supplementally appropriated to the fund established by this agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with the Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation, Inc.; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SIXTEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX DOLLARS ($16,236) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.135.5455, General Fund - Miscellaneous Expense.
Section 3. That ORD-0163-2014, approved December 15, 2014 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
