TO AMEND ORD-0182-2014, WHICH PROVIDES RATES OF PAY AND BENEFITS FOR UNCLASSIFIED PERSONNEL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2015, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2015; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, ORD-0182-2014 passed December 15, 2014, established salaries and benefits for the unclassified personnel of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources is recommending removal of two positions in the classification plan which are currently vacant and have duties that have been moved to another position or out-sourced to an outside vendor for efficiency purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources is recommending revision to the language regarding positions held concurrently for clarification purposes; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this legislation all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That ORD-0182-2014, passed December 15, 2014, is hereby amended as shown in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
