TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS - Manor Homes TIF Fund for Dredging Ponds at Hannah Park
BODY
WHEREAS, two ponds located at Hannah Park need to be dredged due to a build-up of sediment and reduction in overall water quality; and
WHEREAS, if left unmitigated, the water quality and ecosystems of the ponds will continue to suffer and decline; and
WHEREAS, the 2024 Capital Budget funded a similar project for the Woodside Green Park pond; and
WHEREAS, while the Hannah Park pond project was slated to begin in 2025, the City now finds that it is financially advantageous for the planning of pond dredging for both Woodside Green Park and Hannah Park to occur simultaneously; and
WHEREAS, the Administration requests $175,000 to advance the Hannah Park pond dredge project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the Manor Homes TIF Fund (2240) as follows:
224.11.030.5505: $175,000
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
