TO AMEND CHAPTER 715, ALARM SYSTEMS, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCE OF GAHANNA, OHIO

WHEREAS, a code change is necessary to raise the fee for alarm user permits, and impart stiffer penalties for false alarms; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has initiated these changes, and recommended said changes to City Council; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council and Administration to increase alarm permit fees and to impose stiffer penalties for false alarms;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 715, Alarm Systems, of the Codified Ordinances of Gahanna, Ohio, is hereby amended to effect changes to Section 715.03, Alarm User Permit Application Fee, and Section 715.06, False Alarm Prohibited, and Section 715.07, Alarm User Permit Revocation, and 715.99, Penalty; as such changes are stated and clarified in EXHIBIT A, attached to this ordinance and made a part herein.
Section 2. That the existing Section 715.03, Alarm User Permit Application Fee; Section 715.06, False Alarm Prohibited; Section 715.07, Alarm User Permit Revocation, and 715.99 Penalty, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allow by law.
