TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH PIPETEK INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES FOR THE 2019 CCTV & SANITARY SEWER CLEANING PROJECT.

WHEREAS, the 2019 CCTV and Sanitary Sewer Cleaning project consists of cleaning and video recording of approximately 74,448 feet of sanitary sewer pipe and inspection of 353 manholes; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering has recommended we proceed with the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder which was below the Engineer’s estimate; and
WHEREAS, the city has checked for the completeness of the bid and has obtained positive references regarding other CCTV projects Pipetek Infrastructure Services has performed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into contract with PIPETEK INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES, 861 William, Plymouth, MI 48170, for the 2019 CCTV & Sanitary Sewer Cleaning Project; said Contract attached as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND NINETY SIX DOLLARS ($264,696) has already been appropriated in account 6621.1000.5505, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
