TITLE
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION- TEMPORARY WORK AT A HIGHER CLASSIFICATION FOR THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE & ENGINEERING; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.
BODY
WHEREAS, due to a vacancy in the position of Director of Public Service & Engineering, the Deputy Director of Public Service & Engineering has been appointed the Interim Director until December 31, 2019; and
WHEREAS, per the Pay Plan Administration Policy, which was adopted on April 1, 2019, but retroactive to January 1, 2019, the supplemental expense is subject to approval by Council; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this legislation all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND TEN DOLLARS ($3,510) is hereby supplementally appropriated; transfer detail attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That ORD-0010-2019, passed January, 2019, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That the second reading is hereby waived.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
