WHEREAS, letter proposal for engineering design services, dated October 16, 2000, has been received and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and

 

WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to effect this contract at the earliest possible date in order that the capacity analysis for this intersection may proceed in an orderly manner, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 7610 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH  43235, for engineering services for an analysis of the capacity of the Hamilton Road at Carpenter and Clark State Road intersection, in accordance with proposal letter, dated October 16, 2000, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.

 

Section 2.  That TWENTY NINE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($29,800) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the General Fund to Account 101.145.5533, Capital Projects, Engineering, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
