TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GOLDEN TOUCH CAR AND VAN WASH, INC., FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR STARTING JANUARY 1, 2003 AND CONTINUING THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2003, FOR WASHING AND CLEANING OF OFFICIAL CITY VEHICLES.

WHEREAS, the City is in need of a car wash service for City vehicles, and Golden Touch Car and Van Wash has agreed to utilize unrestricted tunnel wash services for all official City of Gahanna vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Golden Touch Car and Van Wash will also vacuum mats and carpets, dust dash and consoles, and clean windows;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO;
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Golden Touch Car and Van Wash, Inc., 259 Granville Street, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for the period of one year for washing and cleaning of official City of Gahanna vehicles, said contract attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FORTY EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($4,800) will be set aside in the 2003 appropriations to Account No. 101.211.5412, Cruiser Washing, Police, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
