TO AMEND CODE SECTION 135.02, SALE OF OBSOLETE ITEMS OF CHAPTER 135, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND ENGINEERING, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA.

WHEREAS, the Director of Technology has recommended a code change to Chapter 135, Department of Public Service and Engineering, 135.02 to add Section 135.02 (a) option (5) By Disposal to a Recycling Company; and
WHEREAS, this option will allow the City to securely dispose of computers and disk storage media that has no value and could have the potential of containing sensitive data;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Code Section 135.02, Sale of Obsolete Items, of Chapter 135, Department of Public Service and Engineering, is hereby amended as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Section 135.02, Sale of Obsolete Items, of Chapter 135, Department of Public Service and Engineering, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
