TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS FOR CURRENT EXPENSES AND OTHER EXPENDITURES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, OHIO, DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1999

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That to provide for the current operating expenses and other expenditures of the City of Gahanna during the fiscal year ending December 31, 1999, the sums listed in attached EXHIBIT A are hereby set aside and appropriated as shown.
Section 2. That any sums which shall be expended from the above appropriations and which are a proper charge against any other department or against any firm, or person, or corporation, which, if repaid within the period covered by such appropriations shall be credited to the fund from which such payment was made and shall be considered reappropriated for such original purposes provided that the net total of expenditures under any item of such appropriation shall not exceed the amount of such item.
Section 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to transfer appropriations within each department after having notified Council.
Section 4. That the Director of Finance of the City of Gahanna is hereby authorized to draw warrants for payments of any of the foregoing appropriations upon the receiving of the proper approval of the officers or heads of departments authorized by law to make expenditures; provided that no warrants shall be drawn or paid for salaries or wages except to persons employed by authorized authority and in accordance with the laws or ordinances.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall go into effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
