TO ADOPT THE HAMILTON ROAD CORRIDOR PLAN, PREPARED BY OHM FOR THE CITY OF GAHANNA, OHIO

WHEREAS, Bird Houk Collaborative, now known as OHM, was contracted through ORD-0236-2009 to do a planning study of the Hamilton Road Corridor area; and
WHEREAS, a planning study would serve as the base for a comprehensive Hamilton Road Corridor Plan; and
WHEREAS, this study area is defined by Hamilton Road from Clark State on the north to the corporate boundary to the south; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission reviewed and made recommendations to Council on April 10, 2013 for the adoption of the Hamilton Road Corridor Plan; and
WHEREAS, Council has reviewed said Hamilton Road Corridor Plan and is ready to move forward with the adoption of said study;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby adopts the Hamilton Road Corridor Plan dated April 2013 prepared by OHM and attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A and made a part hereof.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
