TO HONOR AND COMMEND GREGORY MARBAIS ON ACHIEVEMENT OF THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT
Body
WHEREAS, GREGORY MARBAIS joined the Boy Scouts of American in 1987 as a Tiger Cub in Pack 234, Chartered by the Valley Elementary School PTA in Beavercreek, Ohio; and
WHEREAS, GREGORY MARBAIS completed Cub Scouts with its highest award, The Arrow of Light, and
WHEREAS, GREGORY MARBAIS transferred to Troop 781 chartered by St. Luke Lutheran Church, and in 1998 was elected into the Order of the Arrow; and
WHEREAS, as his service project to become an Eagle Scout, GREGORY MARBAIS organized and lead volunteers in a food drive which generated 591 food items given to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank to be distributed to people to help make their holiday season brighter; and
WHEREAS, GREGORY MARBAIS serves as an exemplary standard for the youth of our community:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna, honor and commend GREGORY MARBAIS for his attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
