TO AMEND SECTION 157.06, RECORDS ADMINISTRATOR, OF CHAPTER 157, RECORDS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, the position of Records Administrator has been a part time position for approximately 10 years; and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended to make the Records Administrator a full time unclassified position working in the Council Office; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend this code section in order to coordinate with the newly created full time position;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO;
Section 1. That Section 157.06, Records Administrator, of Chapter 157, Records Management Program, of the Codified Ordinances of Gahanna, is hereby amended as follows:
157.06 RECORDS ADMINISTRATOR.
A qualified person for the position of Records Administrator shall be selected and appointed by the City Records Commission COUNCIL AND WORK UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE CLERK OF COUNCIL, subject to confirmation by Council. The Records Administrator shall not be a member of the Commission, but shall serve at the pleasure of the Commission CITY COUNCIL.
Section 2. That existing Section 157.06, Records Administrator, of Chapter 157, Records Management Program, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
