Title
TO AMEND ORD-0005-2014, PART-TIME PERSONNEL, TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE HEALTH CARE REFORM CHANGES; AND TO REVISE SEASONAL JOB TITLES TO ACCURATELY REFLECT THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.
 
Body
WHEREAS, ORD-0005-2014, passed January 3, 2014, established salaries for the part-time personnel of the City of Gahanna; and
 
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City be in compliance with the Health Care Reform changes and the seasonal employment process; and
 
WHEREAS, ORD-0005-2014 needs to be amended to reflect the 2014 revisions to the seasonal job titles of the Parks and Recreation Department; and
 
WHEREAS, while updating the Ordinance, changes were also made so that definitions are clearly defined throughout the document; and
 
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward to make the necessary changes to come into compliance with State regulations, all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That ORD-0005-2014, passed January 3, 2014, is hereby amended as shown in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
 
Section 2.  That ORD-2005-2014 and any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
 
Section 3.    That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
