TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH LBP LEASING, INC. (LAKE BUSINESS PRODUCTS) FOR A USED MICROFILM READER/PRINTER; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the current microfilm reader/printer is no longer functioning; and
WHEREAS, it is important to have a microfilm reader/printer to access permanent records; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this lease agreement due to the fact that the current machine is not working, and the number of record requests received, and all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into lease agreement with LBP Leasing, Inc., for a Microfilm reader/printer; agreement attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
