TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH MOUNT CARMEL BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE COMPANY, EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 2007, AS PROVIDER FOR EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF GAHANNA; FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS.

WHEREAS, in order to continue to provide Employee Assistance Program Services to employees and their dependents the City wishes to enter into a new contract with MCBH for services to implement and manage the EAP; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources has recommended we proceed with Mount Carmel Behavioral Healthcare Company; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with MOUNT CARMEL BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE COMPANY, 211 West Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for services to implement and manage an EAP program for the employees of the City, for a period of three (3) years; contract attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding will be set aside in the 2007 Appropriations to cover the herein cost.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and thirty days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
