WHEREAS, ORD-0280-2004, passed December 20, 2004, established salary and benefits for the Gahanna Dispatcher Unit of the OPBA; and

 

WHEREAS, under the terms of the existing labor agreement, negotiations were undertaken in a timely fashion before the end of the contract; and

 

WHEREAS, it is critical for the orderly flow of business to allow this conciliation agreement to be executed in a timely fashion; all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Conciliation Agreement with the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, as stated in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.

 

Section 2.  That all other provisions of the ordinance mentioned above, not in conflict with this ordinance, are in full force and effect.

 

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and upon date of signature approval by the Mayor.
