REESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR MEMBERS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION; REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.0011-2000

WHEREAS, by a charter change passed in November, 2011, the Civil Service Commission is now considered an appellate body and will only be meeting as necessary; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate to change the current compensation of One Hundred Dollars ($100) per month for Civil Service Commission members to a per meeting basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That upon the effective date of this legislation the five members appointed to the Gahanna Civil Service Commission by the Mayor and City Council, shall each receive compensation in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100) per meeting, payable the second pay period of each month.
Section 2. That ORD-0011-2000, or any parts or sections of ordinances in conflict herewith, shall be repealed as of the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
