TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GGC ENGINEERS, FOR INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE PRICE ROAD WATERLINE, IMPROVEMENT NO. 751; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $5,800 THEREFOR; TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, bids were opened for the Price Road Waterline on November 13, 2000 pursuant to Council authorization, and Council is proceeding with the awarding of the contract; and
WHEREAS, inspection services are needed in conjunction with the awarding of the contract; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this project due to construction time remaining this years, all for the preservation of the public peace, health , safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with GGC ENGINEERS, 104 Mill Street, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for inspection services for the construction of the Price Road Waterline, Improvement No,. 751, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ($5,800) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the Water Fund to Account No. 651.350.5596, Waterline Improvements, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2000, passed January 3, 2000 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
