TO AMEND SECTION 921.11, SEWER RENTAL RATES, OF CHAPTER 921, SEWER CONNECTIONS AND RENTAL RATES, AND SECTION 929.12, WATER RATES, OF CHAPTER 929, WATER CONNECTIONS AND RATES, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus is offering master meter cities the same discount program for water and sewer bills for low income individuals that they offer to their residents; and

 

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Administration and Council to move forward with implementation of this program in order to pass these savings on to our residents; and

 

WHEREAS, it is recognized that this is a voluntary program by the City of Columbus and may be withdrawn at any time;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That Section 921.11, Sewer Rental Rates, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, is hereby amended in accordance with EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.

 

Section 2.  That existing Section 921.11, Sewer Rental Rates, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.

 

Section 3.  That Section 929.12, Water Rates, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, is hereby amended in accordance with EXHIBIT B, attached hereto and made a part herein.

 

Section 4.  That existing Section 929.12, Water Rates, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are repealed.

 

Section 5.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
