TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH DUMAR/HUNSTON PAVING, INC., FOR PAVING OF THE PARKING LOT BEHIND DR. MALE'S OFFICE.

WHEREAS, the parking lot behind Wendy's/Findley Kohler/Dr. Male's business is owned by Dr. Male and maintained by the City of Gahanna in exchange for shared public parking, walkway, bikeway and stream maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the parking lot area is in great need of paving and the Director of Public Service has recommended we proceed with Dumar/Hunston Paving;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is authorized to award, and the Mayor is authorized to enter into contract with Dumar/Hunston Paving, Inc., 3360 Valleyview Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43204, for paving the parking lot behind Wendy's/Findley Kohler/Dr. Male's business, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of EIGHT THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($8,950) was set aside in the 2003 Appropriations to Account No. 101.141.5511, Lands & Buildings Capital, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
