TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH 32 FORD MERCURY, INC., FOR PURCHASE OF A FORD F350 CRE CAB TRUCK FOR THE GARAGE

WHEREAS, the Garage Division of the Service Department is in need of a crew cab truck to replace an 11 year old vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the City can purchase the base truck off the state contract, item #18, GDC-93-E;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into purchase agreement with 32 Ford Mercury, Inc., 610 W. Main Street, Batavia, Ohio 45103, for a Ford F350 Crew Cab Truck, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND SEVENTY SEVEN DOLLARS ($38,077) was set aside in the 2003 Appropriations in Account No. 101.512.5512, Garage, Capital, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
