TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH URS CORPORATION FOR STORM WATER STUDY OF SYCAMORE RUN, PHASE II

WHEREAS, neighborhoods in the Sycamore Run Watershed have been experiencing storm water problems; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service is recommending the City proceed with Phase II of the study to include 720 acres of the upper reaches of the watershed; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended this Phase II study be completed by URS Corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with URS CORPORATION, 277 West Nationwide Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43215, for storm water study of the Sycamore Run watershed, Phase II; proposal attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FORTY FIVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($45,200) was appropriated to Account No. 631.350.5596, Stormwater, Capital Projects, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
