TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH SANTMYER COMMERCIAL FUELING NETWORK (SCFN) FOR OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE CITY FUEL FACILITY, 781 SCIENCE BOULEVARD.

WHEREAS, the City entered into contract with SCFN for management of our fuel facility in 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public service has recommended that we continue to contract with SCFN through 2009; and
WHEREAS, continuing with SCFN will simplify markup and commission calculation and the City will continue to receive essentially the same commission revenue and pay a reduced price for the fuel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract through December 2009 with SANTMYER COMMERCIAL FUELING NETWORK, 3000 Old Airport Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691, for operation and maintenance of the City fuel facility, located at 781 Science Boulevard; contract attached as Exhibit A.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
