TO ADOPT THE PORT COLUMBUS AREA GROWTH PARTNERSHIP ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

WHEREAS, the Port Columbus Area Development Partnership includes Port Columbus Airport Authority and the cities of Columbus, Whitehall, and Gahanna as well as participation by Franklin County; and
WHEREAS, the jurisdictions have crafted a joint economic development strategy for adoption and coordination of future land-use planning, infrastructure investment, service delivery, development incentives, and marketing efforts for the entire area around Port Columbus International Airport; and
WHEREAS, the cities of Columbus and Whitehall have already adopted the Joint Economic Development Strategy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. This Council hereby adopts Port Columbus Area Development Partnership Joint Economic Development Strategy, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That it is understood that this plan will be reviewed annually by the administration and updated as necessary, and that said annual update, after recommendation by the administration, will be revised and adopted by Council.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
