WHEREAS, M/I Schottenstein Homes, Inc., has agreed to fund an agreed upon amount to the City of Gahanna to use as needed for road improvements as their obligation for the turn lane to be constructed on Morse Road at Havant Drive, Improvement No. 816; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this project all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That M/I Schottenstein Homes, Inc., 3 Easton Oval, Suite 540, Columbus, Ohio 43219, will give the City $26,400 to be deposited to the General Fund and then used to apply to the 2003 Street Program for the construction of the required turn lane on Morse Road at Havant Drive, Improvement No. 816.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of TWENTY SIX THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($26,400) from M/I Schottenstein Homes shall be deposited to the General Fund for the required turn lane on Morse Road.

 

Section 3.  That waiver of second reading has been requested.

 

Section 4.  That, in accordance with the preamble herein above, this ordinance  is hereby declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
