TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH ASSET AUCTIONS LLC, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING OBSOLETE ITEMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CODE SECTION 135.02 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA.

WHEREAS, the City is in the process of changing the codified ordinances through ORD-0176-2008 to allow for obsolete items to be disposed of in several manners; and
WHEREAS, the City has researched being able to sell obsolete items on-line, and the Director of Finance has recommended we proceed with Asset Auctions as one of our vendors through state contract RS908507;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with ASSET AUCTIONS LLC, 4000 West Grove Way, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania 15044, for sale of obsolete items on-line, said contract attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
