TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH AA JANITORIAL, FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE GAHANNA MUNICIPAL COMPLEX; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the current janitorial service agreement for the municipal complex is set to expire at the end of the year with no extensions; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened November 14, 2014, pursuant to Council authorization; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended the best, most responsive, and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with the contract to be in place as the current one expires; and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is authorized to award and the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with AA JANITORIAL, 1423 E. Main Street, Columbus, Ohio 43205, for a three year contract for janitorial services for the Gahanna Municipal Complex, with the provision for two separate extensions of one year each; bid summary attached as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY SIX DOLLARS ($35,976) will be set aside in the 2015 and future Appropriations as follows:
