TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GGC ENGINEERS FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE PRICE ROAD SANITARY SEWER, IMPROVEMENT #802; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $18,995; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, letter proposal for engineering services, dated August 27, 2001, has been received from GGC ENGINEERS, and has been recommended by the City Engineer for the Price Road Sanitary Sewer, Imp. #802; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to move forward with this project in a timely fashion to keep this project on a current time line, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with GGC ENGINEERS, 104 Mill Street, Gahanna, OH 43230, for engineering design and construction inspection services on the Price Road Sanitary Sewer, Imp. #802, said services to be in accordance with proposal letter, dated August 27, 2001, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of EIGHTEEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED NINETY FIVE DOLLARS ($18,995) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated amount in the Sewer Fund to Account No. 661.360.5445, Capital Projects, Engineering.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. ORD 0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That for reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
