TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH MAXIMUS INC., FOR REAPPRAISAL OF THE CITY'S FACILITIES AND INFORMATION FOR GASB 34 AND GIS; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, it is time for the City to update our fixed assets, and include reappraisal and assisting with information for GASB 34 and values for our GIS system; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed immediately to update this information, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Maximus Inc., 2514 South 102nd Street, West Allis, Wisconsin 53227, for update of the City's fixed assets and information for GASB 34 and values for our GIS system, in accordance with proposal attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of Twenty Seven Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Dollars($27,520) was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations to Account Finance Consultant-GAAP, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is hereby declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
