TO AMEND SECTION 941.15, PICKUP AND DISPOSAL FEES, FOR REFUSE AND GARBAGE PICKUP, TO BE EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2000; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, a new agreement was made for the pickup of garbage and refuse within the City of Gahanna, and the Code needs to be corrected to correspond with the figures in this new contract, in order that all residents receive the correct billings; and
WHEREAS, it is prudent to effect these changes at the earliest possible date to correlate with billing schedules by the Water and Sewer Department, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Section 941.15, Pickup and Disposal Fees, of Chapter 941, Garbage and Rubbish Collection, of the Codified Ordinances of the Gahanna, is hereby amended as follows in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Section 941.15 is hereby repealed, and Chapter 941 is hereby amended to reflect these changes.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and immediately upon date of signature approval by the Mayor.
