TO AMEND CHAPTER 135, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE, TO AMEND SECTION 135.04, BIDDING REQUIREMENTS, AND SECTION 135.05, BID OPENING AND ACCEPTANCE, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA.

WHEREAS, there have been changes in the Ohio Revised Code regarding minimum dollar requirements for competitive bidding on purchases made by the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has requested Council and the Administration to bring this section up to State Statute;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 135, Department of Public Service, is hereby amended to reflect change to Section 135.04, Bidding Requirements, and Section 135.05, Bid Opening and Acceptance, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, as shown in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Section 135.04 and Section 135.05, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
