TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH STRAWSER HYDRANT MAINTENANCE, INC., FOR FIRE HYDRANT INSTALLATION.

WHEREAS, bids were opened for fire hydrant maintenance on April 11, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended the lowest, most responsive, and responsible bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into Contract with STRAWSER HYDRANT MAINTENANCE, INC., 3691 Garden Court, Suite A, Grove City, Ohio 43123, for fire hydrant maintenance, in accordance with bid and City specifications.
Section 2. That funding has been set aside in the 2003 Appropriations to Account No. 652.351.5596 Hydrant Replacements, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
