TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH RAYMOND J. MULARSKI FOR PROSECUTION OF CERTAIN CASES RESULTING FROM GAHANNA MAYOR'S COURT AND MAYOR'S DOWNTOWN CASES

WHEREAS, the contract of the City Prosecutor expires on December 31, 2003 and it is the recommendation of the City Attorney to renew said contract; and
WHEREAS, Mayor's Court is a necessary function of our City Government, and it is deemed appropriate to proceed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract of City Prosecutor with Raymond J. Mularski for prosecution of certain cases in Gahanna Mayor's Court and downtown, said contract attached to this legislation as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000) shall be set aside in the Year 2004 Appropriations to Account 224.151.5253, Tax Increment, Contract Prosecutor, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and on date of signature by the Mayor.
