TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE 2025 SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF GAHANNA AND THE GAHANNA COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT CORPORATION
BODY
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna previously established the Gahanna Community Improvement Corporation (“CIC”) pursuant to Ordinance No. 0112-2008 for the purpose of promoting industrial, economic, civic, and commercial development within the City; and
WHEREAS, the CIC has been awarded a $500,000.00 reimbursement grant from the Ohio Department of Development via the Central Ohio Community Improvement Corporation (COCIC) to complete demolition activities on select CIC-owned parcels; and
WHEREAS, the City, through Ordinance No. 0046-2025, has appropriated $500,000.00 to be advanced to the CIC in order to fulfill the demolition grant requirements; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to enter into a Supplemental Agreement with the CIC to formalize the terms of repayment and performance related to said grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO, THAT:
Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the City of Gahanna and Gahanna Community Improvement Corporation 2025 Supplemental Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Director of Finance is authorized to take all actions necessary to implement the financial terms of the Supplemental Agreement as appropriated by Ordinance No. 0046-2025.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on the date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
