WHEREAS, women shape our world through their leadership, resilience, and countless vital contributions, driving economic growth, enriching culture, advancing social progress as leaders and innovators, and strengthening our communities; and

WHEREAS, women continue to be at the forefront of advances in science and healthcare, as well as serving with courage and dedication in the military and as first responders, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to public welfare and safety; and

WHEREAS, throughout history, women have led movements for justice, championing causes such as the abolishment of slavery, women's suffrage, civil rights, labor advocacy, and peace, paving the way for a more equitable society; and

WHEREAS, the National Women's History Alliance (NWHA) designated the 2025 Women's History Month theme as "Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations," highlighting the profound impact of women's mentorship, leadership, and education in shaping the future; and

WHEREAS, this theme resonates deeply in Gahanna, where local women lead initiatives to uplift and empower one another, fostering a stronger and more inclusive community; and

WHEREAS, Gahanna Lincoln High School ('24) alumna London Studer made history, inspiring others through her notable achievements in the sport of baseball, having developed her talents through recreational, travel, and scholastic baseball teams in Gahanna, London broke barriers by becoming the first girl to play baseball at Gahanna Lincoln High School, competing internationally in women's baseball, and showing us what it means to "throw like a girl" with an 81 MPH fastball while consistently batting over .500; and
