TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH AFS WEB FOR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATE.

WHEREAS, the City website continues to see steady increase in its on-line traffic and usage; and
WHEREAS, there has been a marked increase of our social media participation across all accounts; and
WHEREAS, the website is housed off-site and hosted by AFS Web which reduces maintenance man hours, provides regular updates and upgrades and allows Gahanna.gov to remain on-line in the event that the City of Gahanna servers are down; and
WHEREAS, with a mobile version of Gahanna.gov, the user will simply be shown the optimal version of the website based on how they are accessing it;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with AFS Web, 5500 New Albany Road, Suite 300, Columbus, Ohio 43054 for the website and social media update, contract attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIVE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TEN ($5,310) was set aside in the 2012 Appropriations to Account No. 101.348.5254, Public Information, Promotion, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
