TO ZONE 3.0 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, AS L-CS, LIMITED OVERLAY COMMUNITY SERVICE; FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 590 TAYLOR ROAD; CANDLEWOOD HOTEL BY GLEN A DUGGER, APPLICANT; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, rezoning to L-CS, Limited Overlay Community Service, is being requested by Candlewood Hotel for 3.0 acres, more or less, for property located at 590 Taylor Road; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission held public hearing, said hearing held pursuant to notice and according to law and, as a result of such hearing and deliberations, on January 14, 1998, Planning Commission recommended this application for zoning; and
WHEREAS, Council held Public Hearing on March 2, 1998, said hearing pursuant to notice and according to law; and
WHEREAS, due to the approach of the active building season and the imperative need for this development in this location, it is deemed appropriate and prudent to proceed immediately with this project, all for the orderly growth of this location and for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Official Zoning Map, adopted by Ordinance No. 198-96 on November 19, 1996, as amended, is hereby amended by zoning 3.0 acres, more or less, to L-CS, Limited Overlay Community Service, said acreage more particularly described in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.
Section 2. That the use and development of the referenced property is limited as per the development plan text required by Section 1152.02(d), Development Plan, of Chapter 1152, Overlay Districts, said development plan text attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT B.
Section 3. That the site plan as required by Section 1152.02(d), Development Plan, of Chapter 1152, is attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT C.
