TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH NICKOLAS SAVKO & SONS, INC., FOR CHERRY RUN DITCH IMPROVEMENTS, PARKEDGE DRIVE; IMPROVEMENT NO. 841; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $25,500; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City Engineer received three letterhead quotes from contractors for the Parkedge drainage ditch project; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended we accept the lowest and best proposal and award the contract; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Nickolas Savko & Sons, Inc., for Cherry Run Ditch Improvements, Improvement No. 841, Parkedge Drive, in accordance with City specifications, as attached in Exhibit A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($25,500) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.991.5934, Transfer to Storm Water.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($25,500) is hereby transferred from Account No. 101.991.5934, Transfer to Storm Water, to Account No. 230.000.4931, Revenue Storm Water.
Section 4. That funding in the amount of TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($25,500) is hereby supplementally appropriated from Account No. 230.350.5447, Storm Sewer Miscellaneous, to the Storm Water Fund, to cover the herein costs.
Section 5. That ORD-0001-2003, passed January 2, 2003, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
