SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Salt

WHEREAS, additional rock salt for snow removal is needed to take care of any snowfall prior to the new year; and
WHEREAS, use of additional salt will create a need for additional overtime; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed so there is enough salt, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of THIRTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS ($13,190) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered Balance of the Street Fund to the following accounts:
220.330.5321, Street Material $10,000
220.330.5117, Overtime 2,600
220.330.5131, PERS 354
220.330.5138, Medicare 236.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FIFTY FOUR DOLLARS ($6,954) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated Balance of the State Highway Fund to the following accounts:
222.331.5321, Street Material $ 4,000
222.331.5110, State Highway Sal. 2,600
222.331.5131, PERS 354.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2003, Passed January 2, 2003, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That waiver of second reading is requested.
Section 5. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
