WHEREAS, in conjunction with the Hamilton/Granville widening project it is necessary to relocate electrical service to two businesses; and

WHEREAS, proposal has been received from Jess Howard Electric to perform the work and the City Engineer has recommended that we proceed with them; and

WHEREAS, 90% of the cost of the relocation will be reimbursable through the Safety Grant funding attributable to this project; and

WHEREAS, it is imperative to have this work completed as soon as possible as the widening project will begin this summer, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with Jess Howard Electric Company, 6630 Taylor Road, Blacklick, Ohio 43004, for relocation of electrical service to two businesses for the Hamilton/Granville widening project; Improvement No. ST 883; Proposal attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.

Section 2. That funding in the amount of NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($9,400) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Capital Improvement Fund to Account No. 325.122.5513, Capital Projects/Streets, to cover the herein costs.

Section 3. That ORD-0001-2011, passed January 3, 2011, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Counci...
