AMENDING ORDINANCE 980452, ORDINANCE NO. 151-95, ORDINANCE NO. 161-91, ORDINANCE NO. 49-84, ORDINANCE NO. 23-86, AND ORDINANCE NO. 3-88 BY APPOINTING A NEW TRUSTEE TO THE MEMBERSHIP OF GAHANNA COMMUNITY URBAN REDEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (CURC);  APPROVING TRUSTEE OF SUCH CORPORATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, a resignation from the membership of the board of trustees of the Gahanna Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation has been received, and it is desirable to make a new appointment immediately in order that the work of this Corporation may continue in an orderly manner; and

 

WHEREAS, an emergency exists since the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare in the City requires the approvals and determinations by such trustees in accordance with the provisions of said Corporation;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the appointed trustee of the Corporation, namely:

 

KEVIN HAIRSTON, having been appointed by the Mayor to serve at the pleasure of the Mayor;

 

is hereby approved, confirmed, affirmed, and ratified; and thereby amending Ordinance No. 980452, by removing the name of Roland P. Hall who was newly-appointed by Ordinance No. 151-95 as a member of the Board of Trustees of Gahanna Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation, and reaffirming all members of the Board of Trustees.

 

Section 2.  That Ordinance No. 980452, passed by Council on December 7, 1998, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby amended to reflect the amendment provided herein.

 

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and signature approval by the Mayor.
