Title

 

TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH KEY BLUE PRINTS FOR COMPUTER AUDOCAD UPGRADE TO RELEASE 14 SOFTWARE FOR THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

Body

 

WHEREAS, proposal has been received under date of July 21 1998 for computer Auto cad Upgrade software for the Engineering Department, and has been recommended by the Director of Network Operations; and

 

WHEREAS, this system will be used for the further development of on-line information of streets and infrastructure; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed with this upgrade at the earliest possible date in order for the important work of the GIS information and distribution may continue in an orderly manner, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with KAY BLUE PRINTS, INC., 195 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43215, in accordance with proposal quotation dated July 21, 1998, and in accordance with City specifications.

 

Section 2.  That the amount of SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS ($795) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the GENERAL FUND to Account No. 101.145.5533, ENGINEERING, CAPITAL PROJECTS, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That Ordinance No. 980001, passed January 2, 1998, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above,  this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
