TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH VALLEY FORD TRUCK SALES, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF A FULL SIZE, 4WD, EXTENDED CAB PICKUP TRUCK FROM THE STATE CONTRACT #RS 900411, ITEM 22A.

WHEREAS, the City is in need of a full size pickup truck to replace a water/sewer truck that is 10 years old; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Service to proceed to purchase this vehicle from Valley Ford Truck Sales; and
WHEREAS, the truck can be purchased off the State Contract #RS 90041, Item 22A;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into purchase agreement with VALLEY FORD TRUCK SALES, INC., 5715 Canal Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44125, for the purchase of a full size, 4WD, extended cab pickup truck; quote attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIFTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY ONE DOLLARS ($15,871) was set aside in the 2011 Appropriations in Account No. 651.350.5512, Water, Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIFTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY ONE DOLLARS ($15,871) was set aside in the 2011 Appropriations in Account No. 661.360.5512, Sewer, Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
