TO CREATE THE FULL-TIME UNCLASSIFIED POSITION OF SENIOR MANAGER OF TECHNOLOGY; TO ESTABLISH DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Administration wishes to create the position of Senior Manager of Technology with a class allocation of 39; and

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward to establish this position for the smooth and efficient running of the Technology Department, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.  That this Council hereby establishes the full-time unclassified position of Senior Manager of Technology, said duties for this position are as outlined in the job description attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.

Section 2.  That compensation for this position is hereby established as class allocation 39 and as set forth in ORD-0143-2010.

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
