WHEREAS, the Division of Police wishes to purchase an all terrain vehicle to be used for patrol and response to incidents in Gahanna's parks, trail systems and in other off-road areas within the City's jurisdiction; and
 
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund Account, and this vehicle can be purchased off the National Joint Powers Alliance Cooperative Purchasing Contract Number 090512-PSI;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Purchase Agreement with POLARIS SALES INC., 2100 Highway 55 Medina, MN 55340, for a Ranger 800 All Terrain Vehicle; more particularly described in EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
 
Section 2.  That funding in the amount of EIGHTEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($18,200) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund to Account No. 235.211.5512, FLETF Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.
 
Section 3.  That ORD-0002-2013, passed January 2, 2013 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
 
Section 4.  That the vehicle will be purchased  from the National Joint Powers Alliance (of which Gahanna is a member of) Cooperative Purchasing Contract Number 090512-PSI.
 
Section 5.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
