TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH CONTRACT SWEEPERS & EQUIPMENT FOR STREET CLEANING SERVICES.

WHEREAS, bids were opened September 8, 2006, and the only bid has been recommended by the Director of Public Service; and
WHEREAS, Contract Sweepers has performed this service for Gahanna for many years with almost no problems;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award and the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with CONTRACT SWEEPERS & EQUIPMENT, 561 SHORT STREET, COLUMBUS, OHIO 43215, for street cleaning services for the City of Gahanna, in accordance with bid and City specifications, said bid tabulations attached here to as Exhibit A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FORTY FIVE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($45,700) will be set aside to Account No. 220.330.5441, Capital Improvements, Streets and NINE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($9,300) will be set aside to Account No. 222.331.5441, State Highways, Sweeping Contract in the 2007 appropriations, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, this ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
