TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH JACK AND SUE WILLIAMS FOR PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FOR SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT FOR THE TRIANGLE WEST SUBTRUNK SEWER, IMPROVEMENT NO. 740; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $11,250 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City needs an easement for a sanitary sewer on property owned by Jack and Sue Williams, said project known as the Triangle West Subtrunk Sewer, Improvement No. 740; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this purchase to begin construction of the sanitary sewer for the area, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into purchase contract with Jack and Sue Williams, for property to be used as a sewer easement for the Triangle West Sanitary Sewer, Improvement No. 740.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($15,000) was already appropriated for this purchase and has been encumbered.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of ELEVEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($11,250) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the SSCI Fund to Account No. 662.361.5593, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
