TO REPEAL ORD-0108-2002, PASSED JUNE 17, 2002, "TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF COLUMBUS FOR SEWER SERVICE FOR A PERIOD OF FORTY YEARS SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS DESCRIBED IN THE CONTRACT; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY"

WHEREAS, the Mayor was authorized to enter into contract with the City of Columbus for sewer services by ORD-0108-2002 on June 17, 2002; and
WHEREAS, there are unresolved questions as to a new agreement Columbus entered into with Jefferson Water and Sewer District that could affect the terms of our contract; and
WHEREAS, it is Council's desire to repeal this ordinance and reauthorize the contract when all questions have been answered;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That ORD-0108-2002, passed June 17, 2002, to authorize the Mayor to enter into Contract with the City of Columbus for sewer service, is hereby repealed.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
