TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH TERRA SURVEYING SERVICES CO., FOR MAPPING AND SURVEY SERVICES FOR THE CREEKSIDE DEVELOPMENT; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $8,000; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, Urban Spaces has requested certain survey and mapping work relevant to the furtherance of the Creekside project; and
WHEREAS, Terra Surveying has submitted letter quote, and the City Engineer has recommended that we proceed with this work; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that this work begin immediately all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with TERRA SURVEYING SERVICES CO., 238 Academy Woods Drive, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for mapping and survey work related to the Creekside project, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That the amount of EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS ($8,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.343.5253, Development Planning, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-1-2000 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
